I don't know if you feel the same as I do, but "Sustainable Design" is a subject that I find very encouraging, but very overwhelming at the same time! Designing a 100% sustainable product throughout its whole life cycle is really complex, mainly because all our actions have consequences.
However, staying cross-armed doing nothing is much worse! In this post you'll find some tips for producing or consuming a Sustainable Design. If you can accomplish all of them I congratulate you! If you don't, make a resolution to incorporate at least one of them; just about anything you do counts, no matter how little! :D
1. CERTIFY: Use and consume raw materials certified as ecologic. CERTIFICADO: Consume y utiliza materias primas certificadas como ecologicas!
7. BE BIO-FRIENDLY: Consume and create biodegradable products. This way they'll go back to nature without problems.
And I think the most important thing is a change in the way of life: be aware of the constant consumerism-bombing from the media and think about what we really need, about what actually matters to us. Let's consume eco-friendly and handmade products, let's enjoy our beautiful and lively planet!
