DaWanda Designmarkt in Amsterdam

Last Sunday I was part of the DaWanda Designmarkt in Amsterdam, it was fantastic. We were 100 designers, each of us had a hotel room to transform into our very own shop!
El Domingo pasado formé parte del DaWanda Designmarkt en Amsterdam, y fue genial!
Expusimos 100 diseñadores, a cada uno se nos asignó un cuarto de hotel que convertimos en nuestra propia tienda!




The people from DaWanda and the Meininger hotel organized everything perfectly to the most minimal detail, the atmosphere was great. It was my first fair ever! I had so much fun talking with visitors, showing them my work, sharing my stories, and seeing which pieces amused them, made them smile, sigh.
La gente de DaWanda y el hotel Meininger organizaron todo a la perfección hasta el último detalle, la atmósfera fue buenísima. Fue mi primera vez participando en una feria! Me divertí mucho charlando con los visitantes, mostrándoles mi trabajo, compartiendo mis historias y observando que piezas los asombraban, los hacían sonreír, suspirar.



My hubby was the perfect company/help all the time, BIG thanks to him for supporting me being hyper moody. The day went by so quickly, and I could only rush to visit at least a few from the other 99 designers' shops present in the event a few minutes before it was over. 
Mi esposo fue la perfecta compañía/ayuda todo el tiempo, MUCHAS gracias a él por apoyarme en mi estado de hiper actividad, el día se pasó tan rápido que recién los últimos minutos antes de que terminara el evento pude visitar rápidamente algunos de los otros 99 diseñadores presentes en el evento.



Here is a tiny selection of DaWanda shops and designers that I enjoyed meeting! 
I'll begin with the german girls next to me, they are jewelers too!
Aquí hay una pequeña selección de las tiendas y diseñadores de DaWanda que disfruté conocer.
Comenzaré con las chicas alemanas que estaban al lado mío y que tambien son joyeras!



Caro Weiss was displaying a series of anodized aluminum pieces, light, colorful, modern and fun. I just visited her personal website and she also experiments with other materials, don't miss her work!
Caro Weiss presentó una serie de piezas de aluminio anodizado, ligeras, coloridas, modernas y divertidas, recién visité su website personal y tambien experimenta con otros materiales, no te pierdas su trabajo!



Christina-Pauls had beautiful neck pieces made with cotton rope that she dyes and knots, they looked bold and very comfy, she also had small sets of earrings made with different reconstructed materials with very small perforations forming geometrical shapes, very delicate and pretty.
Christina-Pauls tenía hermosos collares hechos con cuerda de algodón que ella tiñe y anuda, se veían audaces y muy cómodos, también tenía unos pequeños juegos de aretes hechos de diferentes materiales reconstituídos con pequeñas perforaciones formando figuras geométricas, muy delicados y bonitos.



On the 1st floor I met Alex from alexbender bags, I looooved them, the colors, the materials, the shapes, the details, the multiple pockets, removable parts, sewing quality, you name it! From shopper bags, casual totes to fancy little party purses, you cannot miss this german designer shop!
En el primer piso conocí a Alex de alexbender, me encantaron sus bolsos, los colores, materiales, formas, detalles, bolsillitos, partes removibles, la calidad en la costura! De bolsas para ir de compras a bolsitas pequeñitas para ir de fiesta, visita la tienda de esta diseñadora alemana!



My dear dutch friend Daphne van der Meulen from mezereem was also part of the Designmarkt, presenting her minimal and pure jewelry designs.
Mi querida amiga holandesa Daphne van der Meulen de mezereem estuvo presente en el Designmarkt con sus diseños de joyería puros y minimalistas.



It was very nice to have a small spanish talk with dutch-argentinian designer Ioana from redstitch.
She had lovely textil jewelry, like these nostalgic brooches with a modern twist.
She also had kitchen accessories that are not just handy but funny too, like potholders resembling fried eggs.
Me encantó tener una pequeña charla en español con la diseñadora holandesa-argentina Ioana de redstitch.
Tiene muy linda joyería textil, como estos broches nostálgicos y modernos.
Tambien tiene accesorios para cocina que no son solo prácticos sino divertidos también, como estos paños para agarrar cosas calientes en forma de huevo frito.



The ceramic from atelier oker looks irresistible: organic, textured, natural, surprising... a lovely piece of art to incorporate in your daily eating ritual.
La cerámica de atelier oker  se ve irresistible: orgánica, con textura, natural, y sorprendente, una hermosa pieza de arte para incorporar a tu ritual de comer.



I regret not taking a picture/video from stadtwald shop, many beautiful little stamps of nature's illustrations made by Barbara, she played sweet birds' sound in her room, it was like entering a forest in the middle of the hotel.
Me arrepiento de no haber tomado foto/video de la tienda de stadtwald, muchos sellitos hechos en base a las ilustraciones de Bárbara, en la habitación puso el sonido de pájaros, era como entrar en un bosque en medio del hotel. 



Megan, is the dutch designer behind Frank & Gertrude, she has cool turbants and beautifully handcrafted bags in cotton, wool and leather.
Megan, es una diseñadora holandesa detrás de Frank & Gertrude, tiene turbantes y preciosas bolsas hechas a mano en algodón, lana y cuero.
