BOTANICO Glimpse!

In this post I want to show you the background of *Botanico*, the project I'm currently working on.

This collection was born many months ago, in a fresh spring morning when I went with my husband to the Botanical Garden of Buenos Aires for the first time. It's a wonderful place, a vast garden that has plants from all 5 continents, a place where you enter and suddenly all the noise and rush of the city disappear and you can listen to birds and the movement of the tree branches with the wind, and smell fresh air. Here I'll show you some pics from that visit.

This huge garden reminds me of one of my favorite childhood stories, the novel "The Secret Garden", by english-american writer Frances Hodgson Burnett. (Also author of "A Little Princess"!).
Many times I watched the magical cinematographic version directed by Agnieska Holland, where Mary Lennox, the main character, discovers a beautiful abandoned garden that changes her life.
It's a story for children of all ages, a journey for introspection, renovation and hope.

The Secret Garden Movie beautiful music

*Botanico* is my little mix of the tangible and beautiful Botanical Garden of Buenos Aires, and the dreamy Mary's secret garden.
With brass, copper and sterling threads I looked forward to recall that place full of magic, shadows and lights, swings, climble plants, nostalgia, innocence, secrets and the hope of knowing that after the winter everything comes to life again.
In their back, the bigger pieces have a part of the phrase that Mary says to close the movie: "If you look the right way, you can see that the whole world is a garden" (written in spanish, my mother language.

I hope you've enjoyed the sneak peek to my next collection. It'll be available soon at my Etsy and DaWanda shops.
