notHIDDEN - Week 3

In our notHIDDEN blog you can read the phrase of this week. It made me think about the butterfly metamorphosis: its journey from caterpillar to butterfly, looking so different while remaining the same.

Same as when you stop for a moment, look inside yourself and ask: what happened to the person you used to be? Years passed by, and so did people and experiences. You understood new things and stopped believing in others...
The butterfly goes only through one metamorphosis, while I think people go through several.
How little or how much do you recognize of your current self from the one you remember from the past?

The earring is a textual interpretation of the butterfly metaphor.
It starts as a caterpillar, crawling through the ear, and finishes in free wings and flight - both stages being connected, for you cannot get to one without going through the other.
At the same time, I chose to make an earring that didn't go through the earlobe, which is the most common way to wear it, representing an invitation to question things and find alternative ways to get the same objective.
